# Resolution for 2022

I have been procrastinating for a very long long time on writing blogs. I purchased my domain way back in 2017, playing around with VMs using  [DigitalOcean](https://www.digitalocean.com/), setting up [wordpress](https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-use-the-wordpress-one-click-install-on-digitalocean-2),  [letsencrypt](https://letsencrypt.org/)  trying to start writing a blog and once everything was set up, I stopped.

Over the years, I tried restarting the effort to blog but eventually, I would not follow it through. 

I guess you could say that the first step is always the hardest, and I hoped that with this first post, I will be able to finally do something that I wanted to do for a very long time.

I hope to **write an article once per month** so to **improve my technical writing skills** and **share what I've learned**. I will mostly be blogging about `java`, `spring framework` for a start but may also include `typescript` later on and anything I find useful to share especially on tools to improve productivity.

I worked mostly on backend stuff using [Spring framework](https://spring.io/projects/spring-framework) now, but I also did [reactjs](https://reactjs.org/) with [feathersjs](https://feathersjs.com/) in my previous job which led me to create my first `open-source project` [feathers-ottoman](https://github.com/bwgjoseph/feathers-ottoman) which is a `database-adapter` to bridge `feathersjs` and `couchbase` and some contribution to `feathersjs` which is a really awesome framework to use and definitely deserved much more support.

Let's revisit this at the end of 2022 and see how this goes!
